WestConnex uses technology to monitor traffic conditions, fix congestion hotspots and respond to incidents across the whole network.
The technology includes systems to manage the rate in which vehicles enter the motorway at certain points and variable speed limits based on real time traffic monitoring.
By embedding this technology along the roadside, motorists are getting the smoothest and safest journey possible. The WestConnex team at the Motorway Control Centre monitors the motorway 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The WestConnex Plan Your Journey tool allows motorists the chance to take a “virtual drive” on the motorways, to get familiar with where the entry and exit points are and experience some of the features of the motorways.
